Hayden
Chisholm (New Zealand)
The scope of
Hayden Chisholm’s artistic output defies definition or description,
for he has distinguished himself in virtually every aspect of
the arts. His first solo saxophone CD was
recorded in 1995 and was a finalist for
the German CD Album of the Year. Since then he has recorded seven
additional solo CD’s and can be heard on more than eight others.
His concert tours on solo saxophone and
with the band Inflictor have taken him to
stage and festivals throughout Europe, Asia, and Africa. Mr.
Chisholm’s Subultra Ensemlbe received
Second Prize at the Dusseldorf European Chamber Music
Competition in 1999 and continues to record for the Subultra label.
In Germany, he has composed music in honor of
the 90th birthday of L. Fritz Gruber
and for the Dodorer German Literature Prize Winners, and several of
his chamber works have been performed for West
German Radio, as well as at Muzik3.
